A Dallas native, Candice Chase brings a fresh perspective to the photography world from her 30 years of experience. Her work is influenced by photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, August Sander, Margaret B. White and Lucian Augner, to whom she was an assistant printer. As owner-operator of Candice Chase Photography, her fearless reputation, along with 10 years around the boxing ring, stunned the Dallas, TX area in July 2007 with her show, “Constant Pressure”, a collection of boxing photographs that was exhibited in the H. Paxton Moore Gallery, the Cedars Art Gallery, the Turley Law Gallery, and is now on permanent display at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
In March 2011, Candice further developed her unique approach to uncovering the common element when she joined seemingly juxtaposed boxers and nuns to complete her show, “Enduring Desire” for the Exhibition Fort Worth Community Arts Center and the Tarrant County Community College Gallery. Her next show in July 2013, “Garden Implementations—Flowers on Metallic Canvas”, was exhibited at The Kessler Theater in Dallas.
